Last night on Twitter Lil Wayne Said his goodbyes to the world as he prepared for his final sentencing today in Manhattan after a month delay to have dental surgery. His Tweet read,”Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, they’re needed. The F is for family, friends, and fans……….thank u………..your love and prayers are felt. They kant lok up my heart bekuz y’all already have it on lok. ……thank u.” – @Liltunechi.
Unfortunately for the artist who had finally braced the idea of beginning his time behind bars, a fire in the basement of the courthouse resulted in further postponement in the sentencing. Yes, Lil Wayne the Fireman, was allotted another 24 hours of freedom due to a fire.
The fire was actually larger than many would imagine and caused over a 1000 people to flee the smoke filled courthouse and injured 5 firefighters. The Fire Department said officials were still investigating what caused the blaze but did not suspect any suspicious activity.
Having braced to start up to a year behind bars, he was unhappy about the postponement, said his lawyer, Stacey Richman.
Lil Wayne’s sentencing may be rescheduled for tomorrow, but no official statements have been released.
